Back in the Bahamas!

We made it back to the Bahamas, y’all!

I know I know, it’s been about 2.5 seconds since we left the islands and you are probably wondering why we went back so soon. Well, we couldn’t just pass up the opportunity to join some of our extended family in Paradise Island for seven days of fun in the sun!!! Even if we were just there in April.

Following our three-week road trip to Canada, we found ourselves with a solid 24 hours in Naples to quickly crank out a few loads of laundry, repack our suitcases, and drop Oliver off at Jer’s sister’s house before hopping a flight to Nassau. Our 35-minute flight from Ft. Lauderdale felt about 10 million times faster than our last Bahamas-Florida trek, which took nearly two solid days at sea. Jer and I both peered out the airplane window at times to see a handful of sailboats making that good ol’ Gulf Stream crossing and, I’m not gonna lie, it looked a little rough out there so I definitely wasn’t wishing to trade places with any of those boats at the moment.

Once we made it to Nassau, we headed over to Atlantis for a week of cushy-poolside-cabana-lounging-meets-frozen-drinks-meets-sunshine-meets-way-too-much-food-and-gambling-resorty-life. You know, basically seven days of pure paradise! ;))

We are now home and on a very serious detox and diet, lol.

This is probably our last vacation, for a little while at least…so I made sure to snap a ton of photos on the big camera and even busted out the GoPro. Oh Bahamas, we love you so much!!!
